About the role
- Responsible for system and functional integration and technical project management
- Participation in the preparation of battery system requirements and specifications
- Liaise with the other teams to provide information regarding the battery requirements and specifications (i.e. SW team, Inverter team)
- Definition of test and validation tasks, and assessment of results (DVP & activities)
- Support HV battery electrical design, mechanical design, modelling and simulation activities
- Support HV battery controls and functional safety activities
- Support battery element engineer (component responsibility) in vehicle and powertrain projects
- Ensuring development quality and defining respective measures (requirements engineering, review loops, document release)
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Control / Mechatronics / Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
- Preferably at least 3 years of experience in battery development or automotive systems
- Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (German would be a plus)
- Willingness to frequent and long-term domestic and international travel
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Good understanding of or interest in topics such as Lithium-ion batteries, battery system development, battery management systems, electrical components, sensors, and actuators, electrical safety standards and calculations, electric vehicles, electric machines, power electronics, and automotive powertrain.
