About the role
- Respond to inquiries via telephone, email, or chat on Qtrade Direct Investing (QDI) products and services in an efficient, compliant, courteous, and professional manner
- Support clients by managing the order flow for online trading from self-directed clients
- Act as the primary contact for resolution of problems and complaints, initiate investigations, record details, refer departments and conduct follow-up
- Keep current with market trends and news that may affect markets and clients’ investment decisions
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying, suggesting and actively participating in process improvement
- Understand and apply department operating policies and procedures
- Report to the Manager, Online Trading and support Financial Advisors and clients across Canada
Requirements
- Post secondary education preferred with an emphasis in business or economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of the Canadian Securities (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) is required
- 1-3 years’ experience as an Investment Representative in Direct Investing supporting Client trade orders, Financial Advisor or an Associate Advisor (ideal)
- 2-3 years’ related work experience in the financial services industry in a customer facing position or in a call centre
- Options Licensing Course & Derivatives Fundamentals Course (DFOL) is an asset and required within 6 months of being hired
- Securities registration as an Investment Representative within the past two years is ideal
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with volumes dictated by market trends, client demands, and seasonal peaks
- Positive attitude, excitement regarding learning new tasks and skills, and adaptability to changing schedules
- Fluent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and French are required
