The Event Production Technician will play a critical role in the design, setup, and support of onsite and hybrid events for an established global multi-channel retailer client.
Implement the setup and configuration of all necessary control room elements to ensure a high-quality event for client productions.
Determine the required hardware, equipment, and production assets needed for event and oversee the necessary testing and quality control on all items prior.
Oversee the operational approach to fulfill the creative production needs for client events, including but not limited to: Technical direction Audio mixing Robotic cameras Virtual platforms Graphics Video playback Streaming Lighting design Teleprompter
Use expert knowledge of production equipment to ensure optimization of all equipment configurations and setups.
Use complex decision making to recommend repair or replacement of equipment.
Provide post-production support for events including basic editing and graphics creation.
Collaborate on the assessment and recommendation of solutions around overall strategy for studio and event spaces based on operational requirements.
Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with team members to ensure alignment on event procedures, scheduling, and production briefs as required.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in the area of event production, broadcast, video production, or another similar field.
1+ years of experience in onsite, virtual, and hybrid live events.
Studio production and event experience.
Experience with control room equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software.
Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms.
A keen eye for detail with a knowledge of what creatively works well for broadcast production.
Track record of being strategic, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and working well in a team atmosphere, as well as having the capability to work well individually, is essential.
Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude during high pressure situations.
Strong work ethic, self-direction, self-motivation, patience, persistence, and perspective.
Excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills with the understanding of the importance of white glove service.
Ability to work independently and be self-reliant in the execution of daily responsibilities.

Nice-to-have skills
Experience with various production environments and video switchers including Grass Valley and Ross Acuity.
Experience with audio production systems including Yamaha audio consoles, Dante audio routing networks, Shure microphones, and intercom systems.
Experience with Telemetrics, Sony, Panasonic and Black Magic robotic cameras.
Experience with Adder KVM systems.
Experience with Haivision encoding and decoding systems.
Familiarity with post-production software including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.
College degree in video production, broadcasting, communications, or similar field.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Travel is required based on requirements and location of productions and service needs including meetings at client offices and AVI-SPL offices.
Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and perform overhead work.
