About the role
- Design and implement production-grade AI systems, including intelligent assistants and multi-agent orchestration platforms.
- Build agentic workflows using frameworks such as CrewAI, AutoGen, Threads, LangChain, and LangGraph for orchestration.
- Develop and maintain RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines for enterprise knowledge bases. Integrate and extend enterprise AI tools through custom solutions.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy custom AI solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Develop robust, maintainable, and well-tested code for enterprise AI applications.
- Optimize API integrations with LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) and enterprise platforms.
- Ensure system security and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Utilize modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and GitHub Copilot.
- Build internal automation tools to accelerate AI development workflows.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and integrate them into Avetta’s platform.
- Lead technical and strategic direction for AI initiatives.
- Lead key projects, architecture reviews, and technical discussions around automation, augmentation, and acceleration of workflows and processes using AI techniques.
- Communicate complicated technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Drive collaboration and crucial conversations across business functions centering around business processes and workflows.
- Drive innovation and introduce relevant cutting-edge technologies to maintain Avetta’s industry leadership.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years focused on operationalizing/productionizing AI/ML systems.
- Deep expertise in Python; experience with Java, C/C++, or R is a strong plus.
- Proven track record building and deploying production AI systems with LLMs (such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock, etc.).
- Good understanding of agents, RAG architectures, vector databases, and semantic search.
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering, testing, CI/CD, and system design.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior leadership.
- Strong experience with agentic frameworks (such as CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph).
- Familiarity with enterprise SaaS environments and B2B product development.
- Experience with agentic AI development tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Devin).
- Familiarity with observability platforms (LangFuse, LangSmith, Weights & Biases).
- Experience with fine-tuning and LLM optimization.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and driving technical strategy.
