About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust dashboards and reports in Power BI to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Automate the collection and aggregation of data from multiple sources (e.g., Confluence, Datadog, cloud provider logs).
  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to CloudOps leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the FinOps team to monitor, analyze, and report on cloud spending.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for cost optimization and resource efficiency.
  • Assist in tracking the financial impact of CloudOps initiatives.
  • Support incident management by providing timely data analysis to help identify root causes.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of operational playbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Track and report on the status of deployments, maintenance activities, and other operational tasks.
  • Help manage team tools and access, ensuring compliance with security standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets and BI tools, (Looker, BigQuery, Power BI), for creating insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and extracting data from various databases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Familiarity with fundamental cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Prior experience working within a Business Operations, CloudOps, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environment.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python) for data automation tasks.
  • Understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile, and globally distributed team.
