About the role
- Manage all aspects of in-house litigation support from start to finish
- Independently develop strategy and manages, from start to finish, lawsuits and subpoena responses on behalf of the Company
- Proactively identify and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential litigation
- Select, direct, and work collaboratively with fit-for-purpose outside counsel to deliver most favorable results for the enterprise
- Collaborate with other legal departments, Finance, Internal Audit, and Risk Management teams and other functions to provide capable legal support
- Develop and effectively manage budgets
- Handle other responsibilities delegated by the Vice President of Litigation
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school
- Current bar admission in good standing required
- Minimum of ten (10) years combined relevant experience at a law firm and in-house legal department
- Strong litigation background with knowledge of all pre-trial, trial, and post-trial work
- Preference will be given to those with experience in life sciences companies
