About the role

  • The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for accelerating growth and driving customer engagement with full accountability for the UK and Ireland business.
  • Define and execute the global sales strategy, including serving as the face of Avantor to key external customers and partners.
  • Drive sales for the regional’s business, developing strategies for product lines and target accounts.
  • Develop, drive, and nurture acquisition of new business by actively expanding services to current clients, and introduction of new clients into the Avantor ecosystem.
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive space.
  • Build, mentor and develop a team of high-performing sales professionals.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of significant commercial experience in the life sciences sector across a variety of product lines.
  • MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Sales Management role leading commercial teams.
  • Strong ability to understand market trends and identify customer needs.
  • Self-assured, mature, and well-balanced personality, with excellent leadership, coaching and team building skills.
  • Language skills: English, other languages are a plus.
