About the role
- The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for accelerating growth and driving customer engagement with full accountability for the UK and Ireland business.
- Define and execute the global sales strategy, including serving as the face of Avantor to key external customers and partners.
- Drive sales for the regional’s business, developing strategies for product lines and target accounts.
- Develop, drive, and nurture acquisition of new business by actively expanding services to current clients, and introduction of new clients into the Avantor ecosystem.
- Monitor and analyze the competitive space.
- Build, mentor and develop a team of high-performing sales professionals.
Requirements
- 20+ years of significant commercial experience in the life sciences sector across a variety of product lines.
- MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Sales Management role leading commercial teams.
- Strong ability to understand market trends and identify customer needs.
- Self-assured, mature, and well-balanced personality, with excellent leadership, coaching and team building skills.
- Language skills: English, other languages are a plus.
