About the role
- Manage Transaction and Investment Compliance for leading asset managers
- Act as direct day-to-day contact for clients advising on compliance risk for live transactions and existing investments
- Review deal structures and investigate corporate ownership and funds flow to identify red flags including AML, sanctions and reputational risk
- Assess key risk factors in corporate and private equity deal structures
- Work closely with the Head of Investment Compliance and an international team of lawyers, paralegals and analysts
- High levels of client contact and potential team management and leadership responsibilities
- Opportunity to contribute to LegalTech initiatives and develop new service lines
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in the UK or Europe (candidates licensed in other similar jurisdictions considered)
- Has right to work in the United Kingdom without requiring visa sponsorship
- 4+ years’ post qualification experience with a background in Regulatory/Investment Compliance
- Experience representing asset management, institutional investor or other financial services clients (private practice or in-house)
- Strong commercial awareness with a solutions-first approach and strong attention to detail
