About the role

  • Support overall management of HSE within the factory manufacturing chemical injection skids, wellhead control panels and automation business
  • Ensure compliance with JAFZA HSE regulations, legal requirements, and ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) across factory operations
  • Conduct routine HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Assist execution of action plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprint; implement energy-saving and waste reduction strategies
  • Provide HSE support during construction of new projects and ensure sustainability/green building requirements
  • Coordinate with project teams to integrate HSE guidelines into day-to-day project execution
  • Collaborate on yearly HSE plans and objectives; monitor progress and ensure timely completion
  • Assist in maintaining ISO certifications and prepare documentation for internal/external audits
  • Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with Avanceon’s HSE contractual requirements and conduct periodic safety meetings
  • Support Training Need Analysis (TNA) and ensure training and competency programs are completed on schedule
  • Assist in incident reporting and investigations, identify root causes and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Implement HSE policies and promote continuous improvement through safety meetings, toolbox talks and improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • BS in Environmental Engineering/Sciences or Chemical Engineering/Industrial Engineering
  • IOSH Managing Safely (MS) certification
  • NEBOSH Process Safety Management (PSM)/IOGC certification
  • NEBOSH JGC certification
  • Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018
  • HABC Level 2 Certification in Incident Investigation
  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant HSE role, ideally in UAE within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with chemical injection skids or wellhead control panels advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Experience with HSE risk assessments, audits and inspections
  • Good understanding of HAZOP Process
  • Good command on current ESG Frameworks and sustainability practices
  • Excellent in conducting incident investigation using root cause analysis techniques (Fault Tree, Event Tree Analysis, TapRoot etc.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Must have UAE Driving license
