About the role

  • Examine incoming documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Determine correct coverage and classification codes
  • Verify eligibility for stamping in New York State
  • Identify and resolve missing or incorrect information
  • Communicate directly with brokers to obtain clarification
  • Correct minor clerical errors with broker consent
  • Determine proper suspense codes for returned unstamped items
  • Apply official stamps in accordance with state laws
  • Maintain organized monthly filing of affidavits

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Property & Casualty or Commercial Lines experience
  • Familiarity with Excess/Surplus Lines documentation and terminology
  • Strong mathematical skills (premium percentage calculations required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in general office software and computer systems
