Prepare entry documents for Customs release and Duty payment
Rate commercial invoice with tariff numbers
Prepare RLF entries
Provide necessary documents to other government agencies
Prepare Customs brokerage files
Verify arrival information with Airlines/Steamship Lines/NVOCCs and verify country of origin
Prepare delivery order, send to trucker, and verify receipt
Prepare billing package, bill file, and email/mail to clients
Ensure all entries are filed on time and freight is delivered in a timely manner according to company and customer expectations
HTS classification and advisory
Other duties as needed
Requirements
3-5 years’ experience
Experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry
Demonstrate ability to calculate figures and amounts
Acute attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
Problem Solving: identifies and resolves problems; gathers and analyzes information; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations
