About the role
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insight into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Marketing, Data, Engineering and Operations teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Collaborate and create data tools for analytics and data science team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
- Create, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and other visualizations for stakeholders.
- Tightly collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on project planning and design processes.
- Anticipates the impact on the business of any changes to existing systems and advises internal customers as appropriate.
- Formulates options, including assessing their relative merits and risks, and works to determine the best solution.
Requirements
- Educational background in Computer Science or Engineering, Math, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in a BI Engineering role and worked on the design, deployment, and management of dashboards, delivering business insights and analytics
- 3+ years Experience with Microsoft Power BI, SSRS or similar analytical and reporting tools.
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain logical and physical dimensional data models (star schemas, snowflake schemas) for analytical workloads
- Strong Computer programming skills: SQL and Python
- Experience with relational SQL databases: MS SQL Server, Snowflake or equivalent.
- Experience with ETL Services: SSIS, Azure Data Factory, DBT or equivalent
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Experience designing, building and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data sets.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Intellectual curiosity to find new and unusual ways of how to solve data management issues.
