About the role
- Manages employees assigned to meet customer and supplier requirements/planning including shipping and receiving, inventory control, packaging, and storage
- Acts as logistics facilitator to coordinate distribution to meet customer requirements and time constraints
- May include responsibility for customer service, domestic and/or international shipping, and administering safety programs
- Provides direction to team members and interprets and executes policies and procedures
- Accomplishes results with supervisors, team members, and experienced salaried employees
- Functions as an advisor regarding tasks, projects, and operations
- Ensures work/projects are completed on schedule and within budget and approves expenditures within budget policies and guidelines
- Manages warehouse functions and movement of material throughout the facility
- Leads creation of action plans and policy deployment and manages efforts to achieve area and plant goals
- Reports directly to the Plant Manager and works closely with production, technical support, quality, and design teams
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree relating to Business or Supply Chain Management is required
- 3-5 years of leadership experience
- Proven track record of leading teams and improving production control processes
- Strong understanding of ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication abilities and capacity to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to work closely with production, technical support, quality, and design teams
