About the role

  • Communicate customer requirements through storytelling, interactive prototypes, and detailed visual/functional design specifications
  • Design and optimize products and interactions based on a thorough understanding of customer needs, context, and business objectives.
  • Propose solutions and processes to solve complex design challenges.
  • Apply and extend design patterns and devise new solutions for unique scenarios.
  • Facilitate and moderate customer research in 1-on-1 and group settings to gain insights that inform better business and design decisions.
  • Partner with Product Management, Development, Experience Design colleagues, and other stakeholders to prioritize and execute on project work and to ensure a cohesive experience.
  • Maintain familiarity with other Autodesk products and competitive products to ensure the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Develop next-generation experiences that make use of the latest agentic technologies and AI tools to accelerate decisions and drive better outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction design
  • 5+ years of professional UX or product design experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing ownership of end-to-end experiences for mobile and web products
  • Experience within the fields of Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with 3D design/engineering/manufacturing software (Solidworks, Inventor, Pro/Engineer, etc)
  • Proven ability to define experience strategy and influence product direction
  • Deep expertise in translating complex user needs and business requirements into scalable, intuitive interaction models
  • Strong proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
