About the role

  • Define and evolve the architecture of water infrastructure systems, including hybrid desktop-cloud platforms and AI-enhanced workflows
  • Align architectural decisions with transformation goals and Autodesk’s broader platform strategy
  • Govern the components, relationships, and principles of complex systems spanning multiple products and services
  • Lead efforts to embed AI into architectural workflows, particularly where AI may augment or replace traditional design paradigms
  • Partner with architects across AEC, platform teams, and product domains to ensure cohesive system-level design
  • Use views, diagrams, and formalisms to articulate designs
  • Ensure architectural decisions support reliability, privacy, security, and performance goals through implementation and operations
  • Share knowledge through mentoring and seminars
  • Effective at influencing technological and process decisions across a large multidisciplinary organization
  • Recognize and apply novel approaches to design challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in cloud or hybrid environments
  • Proven track record of delivering system-level designs across complex domains
  • Expertise in cloud services, distributed systems, and data modeling
  • Experience in moving from legacy technologies to modern solutions, leveraging skills in creativity and efficiency
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in design automation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in working with a globally diverse team, across different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
