About the role
- Manage and lead research and analysis and provide insights-based guidance and advice to middle and upper management
- Work autonomously and leverage cross-functional subject matter experts and external consulting providers
- Partner with stakeholders across Business Industry Strategy, product management, product development, marketing, strategic partnerships, and sales
- Define, build and work with analytical models, leveraging various internal and external sources of data
- Create compelling presentations and other communications to share insights and drive transformation and change
- Build a strong internal network with key stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
- Continuously further insights into market developments, new technologies, strategic opportunities and risks
- Act as a center of excellence for industry insights
- Deliver process improvements and ensure highest quality and robustness of output and deliverables
- Work with a strong sense of accountability, self-motivation, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, business or equivalent field
- 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry and knowledge of CAD, CAM, digital factory
- 3+ years of experience in industrial software or other software industry
- Proven ability to autonomously drive projects forward within a large organization with globally distributed teams
- Excellent and proven English language skills
- Knowledge of SaaS business and leading-edge technology (e.g. AI) (preferred)
- MBA or comparable advanced degree (preferred)
- Experience in a strategic capacity (strategy, go-to-market, product management, business development) or management consulting (preferred)
- Strong executive presentation skills (preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for success in a highly matrixed organization (preferred)
- Proven ability to lead and influence as part of a geographically dispersed global organization (preferred)
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (preferred)
