- Define and own Aurora’s product vision and multi-year roadmap, aligning company strategy, customer outcomes, and commercial priorities
- Identify and validate new product opportunities across the solar and storage value chain (design, sales, permitting, installation, financing, asset management)
- Lead hypothesis-driven discovery to de-risk investments and ensure we are solving high-value, industry-specific problems
- Translate strategy into clear priorities, measurable goals, and shipped products
- Establish and track product & design KPIs including adoption, retention, time-to-value, customer satisfaction, and revenue impact
- Balance rapid delivery of customer-facing capabilities with investments in platform foundations (APIs, integrations, data, AI/ML)
- Strongly understands installer, developer, and homeowner workflows across residential and commercial solar
- Experience strategy (end-to-end workflows, reducing friction across proposal to design to permit)
- Research + insight systems (continuous discovery, lightweight research ops, customer councils)
- Quality bar as a business lever (reduce rework, increase speed-to-sale, increase accuracy/trust)
- Champion customer insight in every decision, from early discovery through roadmap trade-offs
- Build feedback loops that connect real-world jobsite and sales realities to product decisions
- Work closely with Engineering to ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and quality
- Partner with Go-To-Market leaders on packaging, pricing, and monetization
- Rebuild cross functional confidence in Product & Design through reliable execution and clear communication.
- Collaborate with Partnerships to expand ecosystem integrations and platform reach
- Represent Product & Design with credibility at the executive and board level
Requirements
- 12+ years in product management, including 5+ years leading product and design teams at a senior level.
- Proven experience building and scaling B2B SaaS products, ideally in complex or regulated industries
- Has led organizations through significant change while improving and sustaining engagement and performance across Product, Design & Engineering.
- Demonstrated success owning product strategy tied to business outcomes (ARR growth, retention, expansion)
- Demonstrates deep passion for Aurora’s mission and values, leading by example through integrity and a strong sense of ownership in how decisions are made and teams are led
- Brings a high degree of curiosity and learning orientation, consistently asking the right questions, seeking diverse perspectives, and exploring new ideas to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Experience leading early-stage or net-new product initiatives, where problems and solutions are not yet fully defined
- Strong judgment in prioritization, trade-off decisions, and sequencing investments under uncertainty
- Ability to move between visionary thinking and hands-on execution
- Comfort with platform-oriented products, including APIs, integrations, and data-driven systems
- Strong analytical skills and experience defining and acting on product metrics
- Ability to partner deeply with engineering without needing to be the technical architect
- Prior experience with executives, boards, customers, and partners
- Ability to influence cross-functionally and align stakeholders around a shared strategy
- Clear point of view, grounded in data, customer insight, and market understanding
- Experience in solar, storage, home electrification, renewable energy, construction tech, or climate software
- Familiarity with installer-led or physical operations workflows
- Experience productizing AI/ML or LLM-powered capabilities (automation, content, decision support)
- Background in pricing, monetization, or product-led growth
- Experience building or scaling platform or ecosystem businesses
