• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of product designers, and champion their work across the company
• Define the KPIs that show your team is moving company-wide OKRs, then deliver against them
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market to ship solutions that drive real value for our customers
• Evolve Aurora's design operations by bringing in what's working across the industry, exploring and adopting high-value changes, including those driven by the latest AI capabilities
• Integrate research into how we work so we're continuously testing, learning, and discovering what users actually need
• Define and drive the design processes, tools, and infrastructure that make agile product development successful

Head of Design

Full-stack Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain the backend systems and computation engines behind Aurora's solar and electrical design workflows
• Advance our simulation and optimization work across PV and battery storage system layout, component selection, and electrical configuration
• Partner with product managers, designers, research engineers, and fellow engineers to turn complex physical models and engineering constraints into reliable, scalable software
• Shape the architecture of our simulation and computation infrastructure so it stays correct, fast, and maintainable as it grows
• Write clean, well tested code and raise the engineering bar through the patterns you establish
• Mentor teammates and show up fully in technical discussions, code reviews, and design documents
• Own the services you build end to end, including on-call rotation

Senior Software Engineer, Computation

• Build new functionality for our industry-leading solar design and sales platform
• Design and maintain APIs that connect seamlessly with financial and sales partners, ensuring a smooth, reliable experience
• Develop scalable, secure services built for long-term performance
• Strengthen our agile processes and contribute to predictable, high-impact sprint outcomes
• Mentor teammates and elevate our engineering culture through shared learning and thoughtful collaboration
• Champion operational excellence by owning the services you build, including participation in the on-call rotation
