About the role
- The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to the Reporting and Compliance team within Cambridge life sciences systems business (>$500 Mn in Revenue).
- This role combines strong technical expertise with business acumen, focusing on financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and business partnering.
- The SFA will play a key role in month end close/reporting, reconciliations, cash forecasting, foreign exchange analysis, audits, and preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
- The role will report to the Finance Manager (Reporting and compliance).
Requirements
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Ideally have CPA designation or enrolled in CPA program
- A minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and Microsoft Outlook
- Superior Excel skills: Pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, modelling, etc.
- Ability to determine relevant information for the target audience to provide informational requirements in a meaningful manner.
- Must be hands-on, detail-oriented, able to consistently meet deadlines, and can conduct in-depth financial analysis and present it in a clear and concise manner
- Strong organizational, planning, time management and problem-solving skills.
