About the role

  • Responsible for the delivery of technical consultancy and design support related to multi-disciplinary and exterior lighting projects
  • Liaising with customers in a responsive and client focused manner
  • Engaging with customers and other stakeholders to develop innovative low carbon solutions
  • Supporting the Team Leader with the development of technical solutions and management of projects
  • Delivering projects to time and budget
  • Assigning work to and checking the project work of other staff
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of others
  • Promoting the benefits of sustainable lighting solutions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience of delivering a wide variety of exterior lighting and electrical solutions
  • Proven ability to apply lighting standards and experience to deliver client requirements
  • Proficient in discipline related design software particularly AutoCAD and BIM related plugin’s, Lighting Reality and electrical cable sizing software
  • Substantial experience of National Highways (NH) and/or local authority requirements
  • Proven ability to act as discipline lead on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Ability to supervise a small team undertaking checks and inspections of constructed works for compliance with design and specifications
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement at senior client and contractor levels
  • Experience of undertaking daytime and night-time lighting surveys and assessments.
