About the role
- Prepare and review cable routing plans and specifications within a BIM environment for the following systems: 25 kV power distribution, telecommunications, railway signaling, and traffic signal systems.
- Manage full design development from preliminary concepts and calculations: determining conduit diameters, locating cable trenches, and analyzing cable routes with respect to obstacles and multidisciplinary constraints (drainage, rail, civil engineering, architecture, etc.).
- Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
- Take technical responsibility and coordinate the project team for cable routing design.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Minimum 10–15 years of design experience
- Railway-sector experience (an asset)
- Self-starter with energy and an innovative mindset
- Functional bilingualism (French/English)
- Practical knowledge of CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D (an asset)
