About the role

  • Prepare and review cable routing plans and specifications within a BIM environment for the following systems: 25 kV power distribution, telecommunications, railway signaling, and traffic signal systems.
  • Manage full design development from preliminary concepts and calculations: determining conduit diameters, locating cable trenches, and analyzing cable routes with respect to obstacles and multidisciplinary constraints (drainage, rail, civil engineering, architecture, etc.).
  • Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
  • Take technical responsibility and coordinate the project team for cable routing design.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Minimum 10–15 years of design experience
  • Railway-sector experience (an asset)
  • Self-starter with energy and an innovative mindset
  • Functional bilingualism (French/English)
  • Practical knowledge of CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D (an asset)
