About the role
- Collaborate with Project Engineering Manager to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Assist the Project Engineering Manager in overseeing all the Project Coordinators
- Support the engineering project lifecycle by tracking design progress
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the Project Design Execution Plan
- Promote and reinforce safety considerations throughout technical delivery
- Prepare monthly project reports to the Engineering Management Director
- Facilitate the application of industry best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate and participate in regular reviews and quality assessments of engineering deliverables
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
- 5–8 years of relevant experience
- 3+ years supporting multi-disciplinary teams through planning, design, and delivery phases
- Registered Professional Engineer in Canada
- Strong coordination and organizational skills
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing resources
- Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to transit infrastructure design
- Experience in rail & transit projects, particularly LRT, with knowledge of transit standards and urban integration is an asset
- Familiarity with regulatory environments and stakeholder coordination across municipal, provincial, and federal levels
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
