About the role

  • Collaborate with Project Engineering Manager to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables
  • Assist the Project Engineering Manager in overseeing all the Project Coordinators
  • Support the engineering project lifecycle by tracking design progress
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the Project Design Execution Plan
  • Promote and reinforce safety considerations throughout technical delivery
  • Prepare monthly project reports to the Engineering Management Director
  • Facilitate the application of industry best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate and participate in regular reviews and quality assessments of engineering deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience
  • 3+ years supporting multi-disciplinary teams through planning, design, and delivery phases
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Canada
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing resources
  • Proficient in engineering software and tools relevant to transit infrastructure design
  • Experience in rail & transit projects, particularly LRT, with knowledge of transit standards and urban integration is an asset
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments and stakeholder coordination across municipal, provincial, and federal levels
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
