About the role
- Provide robust cost intelligence for senior stakeholders
- Analyse large and complex datasets to understand cost behaviour
- Own analytical integrity of cost intelligence outputs
- Help shape interpretations of cost data for programme and commercial teams
- Support governance and disciplined reasoning across the Cost Intelligence community
- Test assumptions using evidence-based reasoning
- Work with teams to ensure analysis aligns with decision needs
- Contribute to analytical frameworks and standards
- Support improved automation and standardisation
Requirements
- Grounding in data analysis, applied mathematics, and statistical reasoning
- Demonstrable critical-thinking ability in environments with incomplete data
- Experience explaining and defending analytical outputs in high-scrutiny settings
- Understanding of best practice data principles
- Ability to transform poorly structured data into reliable analytical inputs
- Strong proficiency in analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL; Python desirable)
- Experience in reviewed or audited analytical environments
- Familiarity with benchmarking or governance frameworks (AACE, IPA, Green Book)
