About the role

  • Manage high-quality civil and structural designs for new constructions, renewals, maintenance, and assessments
  • Collaborate with both national and international design teams
  • Manage the production and review of high-quality design documentation
  • Independently carry out project management work
  • Lead teams in the design, assessment, and maintenance of civil engineering projects
  • Develop and agree scopes and manage the internal technical supply chain
  • Lead bids and tenders, winning work and developing Client relationships

Requirements

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
  • Practical experience of Civil Engineering or Structures projects
  • A professional qualification (CEng/IEng) and membership of the ICE or IStructE
  • Practical experience of managing transportation projects
  • Experience working with key clients such as Network Rail, HS2, local authorities, or major Contractors and Developers
  • NEC 4 Project Management Accreditation or demonstratable experience managing NEC 4 Projects
  • Experience of bidding and winning work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to converse with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues across engineering disciplines
  • Good project management skills, commercial awareness, financial control, and stakeholder management
