About the role

  • Contribute to the development and growth of AtkinsRéalis market share in waste and wastewater treatment
  • Represent AtkinsRéalis to existing and prospective clients
  • Determine the specific needs for the client’s projects, establish the scope of work, and identify the steps and timelines for execution
  • Provide engineering services related to waste and wastewater treatment
  • Perform design and calculations related to project requirements
  • Participate in the development of technical specifications
  • Validate compliance with current standards and verify conformity of specifications and other documents
  • Estimate the cost of the work
  • Coordinate between various stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain a climate conducive to ethical and professional practices in engineering work
  • Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant to the position.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in process engineering
  • Be a member in good standing of the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
  • Between 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in liquid processes such as waste and wastewater
  • Experience in consulting engineering would be considered an asset
  • Understanding and knowledge of systems and processes related to liquid processes, including waste & wastewater management
  • Demonstrated high level of autonomy
  • Solid knowledge of equipment such as pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, compressors, filtration systems
  • Strong capability in preparing and reviewing deliverables such as PDF, P&ID, mass and heat balance, data sheets, technical specifications
  • Experience in managing service proposal processes and business development
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and support the technical development of junior professionals.
