About the role
- Contribute to the development and growth of AtkinsRéalis market share in waste and wastewater treatment
- Represent AtkinsRéalis to existing and prospective clients
- Determine the specific needs for the client’s projects, establish the scope of work, and identify the steps and timelines for execution
- Provide engineering services related to waste and wastewater treatment
- Perform design and calculations related to project requirements
- Participate in the development of technical specifications
- Validate compliance with current standards and verify conformity of specifications and other documents
- Estimate the cost of the work
- Coordinate between various stakeholders
- Establish and maintain a climate conducive to ethical and professional practices in engineering work
- Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant to the position.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in process engineering
- Be a member in good standing of the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
- Between 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in liquid processes such as waste and wastewater
- Experience in consulting engineering would be considered an asset
- Understanding and knowledge of systems and processes related to liquid processes, including waste & wastewater management
- Demonstrated high level of autonomy
- Solid knowledge of equipment such as pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, compressors, filtration systems
- Strong capability in preparing and reviewing deliverables such as PDF, P&ID, mass and heat balance, data sheets, technical specifications
- Experience in managing service proposal processes and business development
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to coach, mentor, and support the technical development of junior professionals.
