About the role

  • Control project cost accounts, charging codes management
  • Set up and maintain WBS in operation systems
  • Support preparation of invoices through providing cost support information (via oracle timesheet/vendor invoices/etc.)
  • Matching invoice to purchase order and verify that contents of invoice are in line with purchase order and commitments, then accurately input invoice to CMMS and initiate the workflow approval of the invoice
  • Incurred cost reconciliation and cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare Accruals for procurement/subcontractors
  • Work with Procurement to help assess procurement and subcontractor progress ad hoc reports and other related duties as required

Requirements

  • Engineering student preferred, minimum 3rd year or higher
  • Knowledge of Power plant technology and CANDU nuclear generating stations will be beneficial to the position
  • Working knowledge of regular financial processes, preferably in construction or engineering projects is an asset
  • Familiar with MS Office suite, and in particular expertise with MS Excel, power query, Power BI is required
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 and Oracle 12 would be beneficial, but not mandatory
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work with staff, build and maintain good working relationships with Project Controls team
  • Report writing, communication and presentation skills
