About the role

  • Coordinate and structure projects across all solid waste management streams for municipal, public, parapublic, institutional and industrial clients;
  • Act as a technical integrator between engineering, environmental, regulatory and operational components;
  • Support and frame feasibility studies, scenario development and comparative technology analyses;
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and ensure consistency, quality and alignment of deliverables;
  • Develop and manage project schedules, interfaces and dependencies;
  • Support projects involving composting, anaerobic digestion, Waste-to-Energy, ecocentres, treatment facilities and residual waste systems;
  • Support, when required, the preparation, integration and submission of ministerial and regulatory authorizations;
  • Act as a key interface between internal teams, clients and regulatory authorities;
  • Contribute to the preparation of service proposals, including technical approaches, methodologies, level-of-effort assessments and fee estimates;
  • Support business development activities, particularly for municipal, public and parapublic clients;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal practices in solid waste management and environmental project delivery;
  • Support pragmatic, implementable and context-appropriate solutions adapted to field realities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, environmental, chemical or related discipline)
  • Registered Professional Engineer (OIQ)
  • 10 to 15+ years of relevant experience in solid waste management, environmental infrastructure or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, multidisciplinary projects
  • Strong exposure to municipal, public, parapublic and institutional sectors
  • Experience in industrial, mining, northern, remote or Indigenous contexts considered a strong asset
  • Solid understanding of regulatory, operational and social acceptability issues associated to waste management
  • Ability to act as a trusted technical and coordination reference for clients and internal teams
  • Strong professional judgment, autonomy and structuring skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Availability for occasional travel
  • Bilingual French / English.
