About the role
- Data analysis, Hydraulic modelling, Hydrology, GIS, Technical reporting
- Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with environmental scientists, engineers, and planners
- Provide a consistent service to clients
- Support business development activities including tendering for projects and client/stakeholder engagement
- Own projects and drive own development
- Work on projects for markets: buildings & places, energy, water, transportation, security & defense
Requirements
- A degree in Geography, Science, or Civil Engineering
- Some working knowledge or experience of 1D-2D hydraulic modelling using any of Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM or a strong desire to learn more
- GIS skills or a desire to learn
- Some experience in carrying out flood risk analyses for planning, development, and design
- Some experience in carrying out a hydrological assessment, or a strong desire to learn
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
- Self-driven and committed to achieving technical excellence
- Well-organized and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Good attention to detail
- May require security clearance and proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer
