About the role

  • Data analysis, Hydraulic modelling, Hydrology, GIS, Technical reporting
  • Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with environmental scientists, engineers, and planners
  • Provide a consistent service to clients
  • Support business development activities including tendering for projects and client/stakeholder engagement
  • Own projects and drive own development
  • Work on projects for markets: buildings & places, energy, water, transportation, security & defense

Requirements

  • A degree in Geography, Science, or Civil Engineering
  • Some working knowledge or experience of 1D-2D hydraulic modelling using any of Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM or a strong desire to learn more
  • GIS skills or a desire to learn
  • Some experience in carrying out flood risk analyses for planning, development, and design
  • Some experience in carrying out a hydrological assessment, or a strong desire to learn
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
  • Self-driven and committed to achieving technical excellence
  • Well-organized and capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good attention to detail
  • May require security clearance and proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer
