Senior/Principal role in Water Management Consultancy at AtkinsRéalis supporting resilient and sustainable water supplies.
Work on water resource planning and option appraisal, delivering WRMPs, Drought Plans, WINEP commitments and Strategic Resource Options (SROs).
Manage projects and programmes: resources, budgets, programmes and coordination with other disciplines.
Work closely with technical specialists across the business to ensure right people on projects.
Identify and support work-winning opportunities; liaise with Framework Managers and Client Directors; manage tenders in accordance with business procedures.
Maintain and develop client relationships, strengthen AtkinsRéalis’ reputation and support future opportunities.
Provide technical leadership, project governance, risk management and contract administration across project lifecycles.
Engage in personal development planning and benefit from inclusive, collaborative team culture.
Requirements
Experience of working in the UK water industry and demonstrable experience of leading water resource projects (WRMPs, Drought Plans, WINEP, SROs).
Client-facing experience; comfortable leading projects and managing day-to-day client relationships.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients and develop work-winning opportunities.
Experience running multiple projects simultaneously, including project management, contract administration, project finances and financial reporting.
Experience following project governance procedures and ensuring business policies are followed.
Ability to manage risk through the project life cycle, including negotiation and administration of change control in accordance with the contract.
Excellent communication skills to engage in technical discussions with colleagues and clients.
Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure common understanding of requirements, scope, programme, costs, constraints, risk and interfaces.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; flexible approach, ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Relevant degree or vocational qualification, preferably in environmental science or engineering.
Chartered status with a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE or CIWEM) advantageous.
This role may require security clearance and may require proof of UK residency of 5 years or longer.
