About the role

  • Member of US water leadership team responsible for implementing strategic plan and achieving regional growth objectives
  • Identify key clients, develop and manage strategic relationships, and grow regional project pipeline
  • Provide strategic leadership and management for key projects and recruit staff critical to growth
  • Focus on project management and delivery of existing water/wastewater projects and represent AtkinsRéalis in the community
  • Team building: nurture future leaders, support professional development, conduct performance reviews and career planning
  • Project management and production: lead project staff, develop work plans, specifications, schedules and budgets; review and approve deliverables and sign/seal project documents
  • Oversee financial performance of projects, identify and remediate potential problems, ensure QA/QC compliance
  • Marketing and client relationships: maintain and build client relations, pursue new opportunities, represent firm in professional organizations and conferences
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in field of practice (graduate degree preferred)
  • Ten to fifteen years of experience since B.S. (or nine to fourteen years since M.S.)
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) required
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) required within one year
  • Background in planning, design, and/or construction of water/wastewater/stormwater infrastructure (treatment plants, pipelines, green infrastructure, water supply systems)
  • Demonstrated success managing technical and financial aspects of large projects
  • Strong leadership, team management, client-facing, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial management and project delivery experience
  • Experience recruiting, mentoring staff, and conducting performance reviews
  • Ability to develop work plans, specifications, schedules, and manage QA/QC
