About the role
- Assist engineers and discipline leads with day-to-day tasks
- Contribute to conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design phases for CANDU and other nuclear electrical systems under the supervision of a P.Eng
- Support the development of electrical engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems, ensuring alignment with AtkinsRéalis/Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams and project sectors (e.g., Document Control, Project Management, field teams) to coordinate assigned tasks and facilitate document reviews and RFI responses
- Attend technical and coordination meetings as needed, and contribute to a collaborative, open-minded, and positive team environment
Requirements
- Solid foundation in engineering, physics, and mathematics
- Basic knowledge of analytical and design tools such as MATLAB, ETAP, and MathCAD
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Prior experience in the nuclear industry is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to resolve engineering issues using fundamental technical knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
- Proven ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and contractors
- Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Currently enrolled in Electrical engineering/Engineering Science/Math Program with an accredited Canadian University
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance is mandatory
