- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts
- Providing ongoing commercial legal advice and support
- Working closely with management and business partners on agreements and issues
- Collaborating with and advising internal teams
- Conducting legal trainings for business stakeholders
- Supporting corporate transactional work as needed
- Contributing to legal department leadership and mentoring junior staff
Requirements
- J.D. from a well-recognized law school and excellent academic credentials
- Admitted to the Massachusetts state bar or another U.S. state bar
- 5-8 years commercial and/or corporate transactional experience required, prior in-house or large law firm experience a plus
- Regulatory or technology (especially health industry) experience preferred
- Superior verbal and written communication skills (including contract drafting)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A writing exercise will be a critical component to the interview process
