About the role
- Day-to-day program and relationship management across local / international stakeholders
- Analysis and design of risk and insurance aspects of contracts and compliance by proactively identifying and assessing Asurion’s insurable-type exposures
- Compile and organize underwriting data to support insurance program development and renewal processes
- Prepare analysis & recommendations showing the pros-cons of different program structures and available coverage options
- Analyze loss-claim trends to facilitate dialogue on optimal risk management strategy, balancing risk-transfer/insurance, and other potential risk management actions
- Manage claims reporting process and achieving recovery from insurance programs
- Communicate market and industry conditions and developments to stakeholders
- Develop and analyze data to support the measurement and reporting on Risk Management program performance and drive continuous improvement
- Consult with business and staff group leaders on program design and the risk-insurance aspects of current and new business initiatives, ventures, operations, product development, new geographies, etc.
- Participate in and lead Global Risk Management projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of risk management, consulting, claims management or related experience; MBA or advanced risk/insurance training (ARM, CPCU, other) a plus
- Strong knowledge of risk management, corporate insurance coverages/ language, and risk financing concepts/practice
- Strong analytical/critical thinking skills to effectively gather and review large amounts of data when evaluating risks
- An independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills; must be able to use data to form conclusions and identify strategies to approach potential risks
- An excellent suite of communication skills (written, oral/active listening)
