About the role
- The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for aggressively sourcing and recruiting top-performing candidates for management and craft positions
- Utilize a variety of resources, such as job posting outlets, social media, and working within our current workforce to source and hire talent
- Ensure that Astreya attracts, hires, and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline
- Develop a detailed knowledge of the company’s culture to create a unique and comprehensive strategy to hiring
- Communicate and embrace the career development opportunities that Astreya embodies
- Facilitate initial communications and screening interviews so managers are only meeting the most qualified candidates
- Proactively communicate with Astreya managers and staff to utilize our employee database and further expand our reach
- Participate in completing daily HR duties including postings, sourcing, referrals, interviews, offers, and handoffs
- Create and manage social media postings as related to recruitment and company culture
- Research the current industries recruiting strategies and refine ours to be on the cutting edge
- Coordinate travel for potential candidates for interviews
- Attend and/or facilitate career fairs at select universities or other venues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Builds productive internal and external working relationships
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Understanding of how to use social media to attract and engage active and passive technical talent
- Proficient user of MS Office, including Outlook and Excel
