About the role
- Develop deep expertise in assigned products and disease states
- Effectively educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved uses, and safety/efficacy profiles
- Independently drive sales performance to meet or exceed territory goals, forecasts, and budget expectations
- Successfully complete all training requirements, including product certifications
- Build and maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, demographics, and managed care considerations
- Partner closely with your District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop and execute a territory strategy and business plan
- Leverage formulary approvals and other opportunities by effectively using strategic targeting plans
- Deliver educational programs to healthcare providers in alignment with AstraZeneca’s ethical guidelines
- Collaborate with fellow Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to coordinate efforts around shared objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- 0–2 years of experience in the medical, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of the medical, healthcare, or pharmacy industry; experience in Respiratory therapeutic areas is a plus
- 2+ years of prior pharmaceutical sales experience (desirable)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Sound judgment and decision‑making skills
- Results‑driven, with strong time‑management capabilities
- Ability to learn, analyze, and communicate complex information
