About the role

  • Develop deep expertise in assigned products and disease states
  • Effectively educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved uses, and safety/efficacy profiles
  • Independently drive sales performance to meet or exceed territory goals, forecasts, and budget expectations
  • Successfully complete all training requirements, including product certifications
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics, demographics, and managed care considerations
  • Partner closely with your District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop and execute a territory strategy and business plan
  • Leverage formulary approvals and other opportunities by effectively using strategic targeting plans
  • Deliver educational programs to healthcare providers in alignment with AstraZeneca’s ethical guidelines
  • Collaborate with fellow Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to coordinate efforts around shared objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • 0–2 years of experience in the medical, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of the medical, healthcare, or pharmacy industry; experience in Respiratory therapeutic areas is a plus
  • 2+ years of prior pharmaceutical sales experience (desirable)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Sound judgment and decision‑making skills
  • Results‑driven, with strong time‑management capabilities
  • Ability to learn, analyze, and communicate complex information
