About the role
- Support AZ R&D China to form collaboration with academic research institutes and clinical centres
- Manage relationships with clinical/research centres as AZ’s preferred partners
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to expand collaborations
- Drive to create a positive external environment and alliance ecosystem
- Identify optimal alliance solutions aligned with R&D strategies
- Facilitate and consult efficient alliance activities
- Monitor all alliance related activities across R&D China
- Coordinate and manage external engagement activities
- Work with Global R&D alliance teams to develop integrated strategies
- Increase visibility of China alliance activities
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in science with >5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of drug development strategy and process
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Project management experience and capability
- Proven experience in alliance/partnership excellence
- Willingness to work in a global team across multiple time zones
- Cultural sensitivity to influence key stakeholders
- Ability to assess and mitigate issues/risks
- Ability to travel globally based on business needs
- Postgraduate degree (e.g., MSc, PhD, or MBA) is desirable
- Good networking in target clinical/research centres is desirable
