About the role
- Provide qualified, expert support and recruit external key opinion leaders, speakers and medical-scientific centers
- Build durable relationships through personal scientific exchange aligned with the applicable medical plan
- Collaborate with scientific societies
- Identify network structures and proactively gather insights from the field
- Represent the company at international, national and regional congresses and symposia
- Design, budget, initiate and oversee regional and national scientific education events
- Review and process sponsorship requests
- Support internal and external study projects
- Prepare scientific presentation materials
- Support AstraZeneca internal development programs, field force training and speaker workshops, etc.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Training, Marketing, Market Access and Medical Affairs
- Work cross-functionally, including with Marketing and Sales
Requirements
- Degree in a natural science (preferably medicine or pharmacy)
- Strong medical expertise, ideally with experience in lung cancer
- Ability to quickly and independently familiarize yourself with new indications and topics
- Oncology experience as an MSL or in the medical-scientific field force is an advantage
- Experience in driving projects and working in cross-functional teams
- Team-oriented
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to think strategically and implement medical strategies
- High intrinsic motivation
- Strong interpersonal skills and a confident presence
- Self-reliant with high personal flexibility in the role
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent in English
