About the role

  • Shape how laboratories run, scaling services, systems, and partnerships
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team and network of suppliers
  • Deliver safe, efficient, and responsive lab services across sites
  • Optimize cost and quality, creating space plans for anticipated growth
  • Manage & Measure Services to provide essential laboratory support services
  • Assemble a multidisciplinary specialized staff for effective delivery
  • Mentor staff to develop high-performing work teams
  • Integrate cross-departmental collaboration for new initiatives
  • Partner with service providers; monitor and audit services
  • Manage the LabOps budget and work with service providers to optimize costs
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key service providers
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and create clarity within teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in lab based biomedical, pharmaceutical, or biological science
  • 15+ years of relevant (lab and/or operations) experience
  • Successful previous work in a matrix organization
  • Proven People Management capability
  • Highly organized, efficient, and self-motivated
  • Strong aptitude for customer service
  • Financial Management: Budget ownership, forecasting, portfolio prioritization, and benefits realization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Office, database and data analysis software packages
