About the role
- You will have full responsibility for the performance and growth of the business, overseeing operations from order entry through shipping, with accountability for P&L, operational efficiency, customer experience, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Play a critical role in driving Lean manufacturing principles, strengthening operational discipline, and partnering cross-functionally to grow the Door and Frame business in alignment with Door Group
- Lead all manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, inventory control, labor planning, and equipment maintenance
- Drive operational excellence through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor and analyze production metrics (output, efficiency, downtime, quality, and cost) to identify improvement opportunities
- Oversee order entry, customer service, production planning, and forecasting to meet customer demand
- Ensure consistent achievement of production, quality, safety, and cost targets while maintaining a long-term strategic view
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team in partnership with site HR
- Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability, and employee engagement
- Develop and execute effective retention, succession, and workforce planning strategies
- Be a visible, accessible leader who coaches and mentors teams across shifts
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and performance-driven work environment
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across departments to achieve company objectives
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies, AADG programs, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- Proven senior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (metal forming experience a plus)
- Strong background in manufacturing operations, including production planning, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement
- Solid financial acumen, including P&L ownership and understanding of financial statements
- Experience coaching and mentoring teams, willingness to be physically present leader who is accessible and visible during shifts
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage metrics, forecasting, and reporting to drive performance
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
