About the role
- Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruiting, on-boarding, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Facilitate expansion into new states by recruiting for new business and existing out of state positions
- Ensure compliance with state labor laws
- Utilize creative sourcing methods including internal and external databases, and networking with industry organizations and universities
- Prepare and maintain job requisitions and position descriptions
- Oversee candidate pools in Applicant Tracking System (Paylocity)
- Conduct pre-employment activities, including sending offers and initiating background checks
- Administer on-boarding and separation process, conducting new hire orientations as well as employee separation activities
- Prepare required documentation for employee changes including terminations and promotions
- Work with HR leadership to compile HR data and metrics from HRIS
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned by ASRT, Inc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- A minimum of three years of job-related experience preferred
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard all documents and files containing individual personnel information and company proprietary information
- Prior Applicant Tracking System/HRIS experience, specifically Paylocity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws and best practices
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism, and diplomacy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience recruiting for scientific positions
- Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident or have authorization for employment in the United States.
