- Driving operational efficiency and excellence and enhance scalability across your portfolio of businesses to optimize performance and maximize profitability.
- Driving revenue growth by identifying and supporting new opportunities and growth strategies, including cross-selling and penetrating new markets.
- Driving initiatives and solving challenges related to sales, customer success and research and development within your portfolio of businesses.
- Prioritizing customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring strong solutions, service delivery and customer support within your portfolio companies.
- Ensuring your portfolio companies have clear product roadmaps established and executed on, balancing investments in research and development with maintenance to maximize new customer growth while retaining existing customers.
- Overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive product strategies aligned with market trends and the business objectives of the companies in your portfolio.
- Assuming P&L responsibility and focusing on achieving key financial metrics related to revenue, ROI, EBITDA, customer retention, etc.
- Managing capital allocation and ensuring efficient financial management of your portfolio companies, including on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Building, coaching and leading high-performing teams within your portfolio companies.
- Cultivating a culture of performance, continuous improvement, collaboration and innovation.
- Providing clear direction and motivating teams toward achieving key milestones and delivering measurable results.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in management consulting and/or experience in a technology or software business.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, economics, or any other relevant field.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) (a strong asset).
- Relevant experience as a business operations leader with a commercial, customer centric and continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: sales (customer acquisition, market penetration), customer service (support and professional services), product development (research and development) (an asset).
- Financial acumen (P&L management, budget, forecast).
- People-centric leader with experience successfully building, leading, developing, and mentoring a high performing team.
- Experience mobilizing people toward a common goal.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and drive results.
