About the role
- Modernize deployment, improve application reliability, and establish CI/CD practices for a legacy ASP Classic and .NET-based system deployed on customer premises.
- Analyze, stabilize, and improve legacy ASP Classic / ASP.NET MVC application integrated with Rocket’s RedBack/UniVerse database.
- Design and implement secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (IIS, Git-based flows).
- Improve site security, manage configurations, and reduce manual deployments.
- Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to plan modernization while maintaining legacy compatibility.
- Interact with U.S.-based stakeholders and work independently to recommend modern practices.
Requirements
- Analyze, stabilize, and improve a legacy ASP Classic / ASP.NET MVC application integrated with Rocket’s RedBack/UniVerse multivalue database.
- Design and implement secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows (IIS, Git-based flows, etc.).
- Improve site security, manage configurations, and reduce error-prone manual deployments.
- Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to map a path toward modernization while maintaining legacy compatibility.
- Experience with ASP Classic and ASP.NET (especially MVC) in production environments.
- Familiarity with IIS, Windows-based hosting, and manual deployment constraints.
- Experience or interest in Rocket/UniVerse multivalue databases (via RedBack) is a strong plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially for interacting with U.S.-based stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and proactively recommend modern practices in a legacy-heavy environment.
