About the role

  • Define and evolve the product roadmap for accounting backoffice systems, focusing on financial workflows, accounting integrations, automated reconciliations, and maintenance of internal systems that support company operations at scale.
  • Identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and reliability of financial processes through strategic improvements to internal workflows and integrations with partners.
  • Deliver value-driven outcomes: deeply understand the needs of internal teams and end customers, balancing development effort with impact on business results.
  • Remove obstacles by delivering complex projects in smaller, high-value increments.
  • Contribute to the product's strategic vision, setting clear objectives based on business priorities, current regulations, and operational needs.
  • Make data-driven decisions, defining and tracking performance metrics, process quality, and system reliability.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accounting practices.
  • Map opportunities for innovation with a focus on scalability, automation, and the experience of internal teams.
  • Be guided by continuous improvement, exploring new solutions and stepping out of the comfort zone.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or in similar roles, ideally in fintechs, SaaS companies, or financial sectors.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting, with expertise in backoffice processes, reconciliations, and integrations between financial systems.
  • Experience with complex integrations via APIs, preferably in high-volume transactional environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, troubleshooting, and supporting data-driven decision making.
  • Familiarity with product metrics and backlog prioritization, with a track record of data-informed decisions.
  • Ability to operate in regulated environments, ensuring compliance with accounting, tax, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate technical and strategic solutions to different audiences.
  • Experience in projects requiring automation of financial processes, scalability, and improvements in operational efficiency.
