About the role
- Achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within their team’s assigned territory
- Establishing, building, and maintaining customer relations through constant communication and in-person appointments
- Maintaining expert knowledge of the trauma market and our extremities and trauma product portfolio
- Consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of our implants and instruments
- Increasing territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships and developing and implementing sales strategies
- Communicating with current and new customer accounts regarding product updates, changes to product portfolio and educational programs
- Implementing new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives
- Cross-selling additional products or managing new product introductions as they become available
- Addressing any problems that arise at the account
- Supporting compliance and the principles of responsibility by maintaining privacy and confidentiality of information
- Collecting competitive data and remaining current on industry, customer and competitive trends
- Participating in and attending sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis
Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years of orthopedic experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market
- Must be comfortable in open operating room environments
- Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it specifically relates to Arthrex
- Knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures
- Ability to learn a high level of technical information, anatomy and indications as it relates to surgery and procedures
- Prior sales experience is a plus
- Current driver’s license
- Access to your own transportation
