About the role

  • Operational project management of specific “Core Services,” as defined as, Operation Ride Home holiday travel assistance, Operation Holiday Joy, and temporary emergency financial assistance.
  • Operational project management of Affiliate Partnerships with local YMCA Associations to deliver ASYMCA programs and services to military families throughout the YMCA network.
  • Provide operational and logistical support for Core Services, including creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, logic models, training, employee communications, and other resources.
  • Managing day-to-day operations for Operation Ride Home holiday travel assistance service, including tracking and maintaining the financial reporting, budget development, and local activations.
  • Managing day-to-day operations for Operation Holiday Joy and temporary financial assistance services, including expanding partnerships, tracking activations, maintaining financials, and providing reports.
  • Key partner in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of Core Services engagement numbers, and identifying stories and testimonials to demonstrate impact.
  • Support the Senior VP with implementing a growth plan to expand the reach and results of the Affiliate network, identifying areas of opportunity, and building relationships with Affiliate partners.
  • Work with existing Affiliate Partners to launch the annual program, reviewing funding requests, providing recommendations on approvals, and communicating updates.
  • Establish new relationships with potential partners to grow and expand the program to new locations.
  • Execute MOAs, Statements of Work, and reporting requirements, managing compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and facilitating payment requests.
  • Collect stories, survey responses, impact statements, testimonials, photos, and other assets to create reports and demonstrate impact.

Requirements

  • College degree or 4+ years combined college, technical training, and/or military service required AND 5+ years’ employment experience in project management, program delivery, and/or operations required OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Nonprofit or Military/Veteran Service Organization experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using computers, the Internet, email, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and basic office equipment required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills required.
  • Detail-orientation and commitment to accuracy are required.
  • This position requires the incumbent to take initiative, accountability, and demonstrate sound judgment, providing recommendations and making decisions.
  • Ability to foster collaboration, care about the success of others and the team as a whole, and build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders required.
