About the role

  • Perform technical review of partnership and corporation tax returns.
  • Coach others and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development
  • Ability to identify and research common tax issues that arise in client engagements.
  • Identify key planning opportunities throughout the year and develop a framework for tax strategies that best align with client needs and goals
  • Assist in identifying and promoting the development of new delivery capabilities and/or channels to satisfy evolving market requirements
  • Support the partner team in the development and planning of practice strategy, objectives, and budgets
  • Provide consultation on business and/or individual tax transactions (if applicable), the related tax implications, consequences, and treatment
  • Develop responses to IRS and other regulatory and tax authorities' audits, notices and inquiries

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (US) or qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent credential preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (US) or qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Expert Knowledge on Axcess Tax, XCM, TaxCaddy , SurePrep , and Caseware preferred
  • Experience with a wide variety of entity types
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Tech savvy & adaptable to changing work expectations
