About the role
- Lead advanced configuration and troubleshooting across Workday HCM, Compensation, and Recruiting, ensuring alignment with business needs and Workday best practices.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for highly complex issues, conducting root‑cause analysis and implementing long‑term solutions.
- Maintain system integrity through routine audits, configuration reviews, and proactive monitoring.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new features, enhancements, and optimizations to improve system performance and user experience.
- Oversee daily operations and workflow execution within HCM, Compensation, and Recruiting to ensure timely, accurate processing.
- Partner with business stakeholders to analyze current processes, define future-state designs, and identify opportunities for automation or efficiency improvements.
- Support and occasionally lead cyclical processes such as year‑end, merit, benefits, onboarding, and compliance audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort and enhance data accuracy.
- Coordinate unit testing, regression testing, and validation for major Workday releases, enhancements, and configuration changes.
- Drive the UAT process, including test planning, scenario creation, execution support, and defect resolution.
- Review biannual Workday release notes to assess impacts, determine adoption opportunities, and communicate key changes to stakeholders.
- Ensure all configuration changes adhere to governance, documentation requirements, and internal risk controls.
- Build and maintain advanced Workday reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business insights and decision‑making.
- Conduct ongoing data quality audits, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improved transparency.
- Partner with stakeholders to design scalable reporting solutions that support compliance and operational needs.
- Work closely with HR team, SME Leads, and operational partners to gather requirements and provide expert-level Workday guidance.
- Collaborate with adjacent Workday modules and downstream system owners to ensure data consistency and cohesive end‑to‑end processes.
- Mentor junior and Analyst‑level team members in configuration, troubleshooting, documentation, and Workday best practices.
- Participate in enterprise initiatives, representing the Workday function as a subject matter expert.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of hands‑on Workday HCM configuration experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Workday Recruiting
- Minimum of 4 years of HR process experience across the employee lifecycle
- Strong analytical, consultative, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to thrive in both structured and ambiguous environments while managing multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear functional solutions
