About the role
- Manage the engagement and workflow of all client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements
- Manage audits of employee benefit plans
- Identify and resolve accounting and audit technical issues
- Lead the engagement planning process
- Review engagement work papers and related deliverables
- Delegate assignments to supervisors
- Conduct or review research of complex accounting and financial reporting issues
- Keep the partner informed about client updates and technical issues
- Develop at least one area of industry expertise
- Assist in developing fee quotes and budgets
- Preparation of client billings and collection of outstanding accounts
- Developing into a trusted advisor
- Oversee the preparation of audit presentations
- Involvement in practice development activities
- Participate in firm and department training programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- CPA license or Qualified Chartered Accountant
- Minimum 3-5 years Public Accounting experience
- Assurance leadership, guidance or supervisory experience
- Advanced understanding of accounting (GAAP) and assurance (GAAS) procedures
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
