About the role

  • Plans interventions in coordination with operations, maintenance and the engineering office (BE)
  • Ensures installations are secured and made safe during interventions
  • Drafts work permits, performs risk analyses and authorizes interventions
  • Responsible for monitoring interventions and sites in terms of safety and quality
  • Responsible for the LOTOTO process (risk analysis and implementation)
  • Accepts completed work, validates tests and reports to operations teams
  • Ensures the operation of thermal fluid boilers
  • Participates in failure analyses
  • Participates in the review of the DUER (Single Risk Assessment Document)
  • Develops and promotes first-line (1st level) maintenance across all assigned areas
  • Identifies and proposes preventive maintenance actions to maintenance teams or operations

Requirements

  • Bac+2 (equivalent to a two-year post-secondary diploma/Associate degree) in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
  • Able to initiate cross-functional meetings to resolve technical issues
  • Knowledge of how activities and performance indicators impact safety, quality and the environment
  • Able to organize and prioritize interventions according to production requirements
  • Knowledge of personal and collective safety and hygiene equipment
  • Proficient in the LOTOTO process
  • Ability to read P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
  • Knowledge of the chemistry of the products manufactured
  • Proficient in problem-solving methodologies
  • Familiarity with the Bostipedia database
  • IT tools: SAP / Office suite / Email
