About the role
- Reports to the Maintenance Manager and supports the operation of the Memphis facility, including evaluation and implementation of mechanical changes, asset effectiveness, asset reliability and Turnaround activities.
- Provides general engineering support for the entire site operation.
- Owns the Reliability assessment of Asset Utilization/Operational Asset Utilization data.
- Analyzes production losses and develops strategies for optimization along with Production/Process Engineer, Lead Plant Reliability Team.
- Supports the Operations Dept. in troubleshooting existing process equipment.
- Leads cross functional teams in root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Applies principles of flow, heat transfer, HVAC, civil/structure, materials science, welding, piping, pressure relief, rotating machinery, combustion systems, insulation, coatings, basic E&I to process and equipment design.
- Supports Maintenance Dept. with non-routine or multi-craft equipment repairs.
- Coordinates rotating machinery vibration analysis and similar predictive maintenance efforts.
- Generates, maintains, and updates plant Critical Equipment list and reliability strategy.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in Operations, Maintenance or Engineering in chemical plants.
- BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field with focus on activities noted above.
- Knowledge of pumps, blowers, compressors, agitators, and other rotating equipment.
- Clear written and verbal communication, interpersonal and team building, strong leadership, initiative, organization, problem solving and analytical ability.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Computer skills including Microsoft office required.
- Working knowledge of SAP desirable.
