About the role

  • Reports to the Maintenance Manager and supports the operation of the Memphis facility, including evaluation and implementation of mechanical changes, asset effectiveness, asset reliability and Turnaround activities.
  • Provides general engineering support for the entire site operation.
  • Owns the Reliability assessment of Asset Utilization/Operational Asset Utilization data.
  • Analyzes production losses and develops strategies for optimization along with Production/Process Engineer, Lead Plant Reliability Team.
  • Supports the Operations Dept. in troubleshooting existing process equipment.
  • Leads cross functional teams in root cause analysis and problem solving.
  • Applies principles of flow, heat transfer, HVAC, civil/structure, materials science, welding, piping, pressure relief, rotating machinery, combustion systems, insulation, coatings, basic E&I to process and equipment design.
  • Supports Maintenance Dept. with non-routine or multi-craft equipment repairs.
  • Coordinates rotating machinery vibration analysis and similar predictive maintenance efforts.
  • Generates, maintains, and updates plant Critical Equipment list and reliability strategy.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Operations, Maintenance or Engineering in chemical plants.
  • BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field with focus on activities noted above.
  • Knowledge of pumps, blowers, compressors, agitators, and other rotating equipment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, interpersonal and team building, strong leadership, initiative, organization, problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft office required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP desirable.
